Garfield Park Conservatory

About 120,000 plants representing some 600 species occupy the conservatory’s 1.6 acres, and four times a year flower shows premiere to herald the change in seasons. The Elizabeth Morse Genius Children’s Garden houses a massive vine that can be traced from root to blossom, a seven-foot-tall climbable seed, and a mega-size bee that kids can assist in pollinating a flower before riding its stem/slide down to the ground. There’s also a designated crawling area for babies and toddlers, with its own mini slide.
