While everyone else eagerly waited for New York’s Magnolia Bakery to open in the Loop so they could get those famous cupcakes, we bided our time till we could get our hands on its just-as-legendary banana pudding: whipped-cream-light vanilla pudding simply layered with bananas and Nilla wafers, and nothing short of heaven on earth.
