Thermal cotton onesie layers such as this strawberry-print bodysuit ($22, with matching hat, $12, vyssanlull.com) should be piled on thick or thin, depending on the magic layer number you determine. Once you’re inside, strip down ASAP to just “inner wear”—if you wait, your baby will start to sweat and wind up being damp and cold once he is de-layered.

The Puj Tub($40 at Be By Baby, 1654 W Roscoe St, 773-404-2229) forgos the bulky plastic bath seat that consumes your grown-up tub and instead offers a soft foam gem that’s made of hypoallergenic and antimicrobial material. It fits in most pedestal- and countertop-style sinks, and conforms to your baby.

The compact Joovy Kooper ($200 at joovy.com) could navigate an obstacle course. With a tight-as-a-drum turning radius, we had no problem wheeling this jazzy number around boxes and through tight doorways. Extra-tall drivers might find the handles a bit low, but the stroller opens and folds up super easily.
