Thu 5–8pm free for Illinois residents.We'll assume you already know about the mind-bogglingly breathtaking collections of Impressionist, American and Modern Art and Chicago-centric and global architecture samples, artefacts and sculpture at Chicago's arguably most premiere museum, so we'll just cut to the kids' chase: The Ryan Education Center is always brimming with kid-adapted activities to accompany both permanent and visiting exhibits, and through May 29, “Real and Imaginary: Three Latin American Artists” gets kids in on the art of Raúl Colón, David Diaz and Yuyi Morales in colorful picture books that illustrate the importance of family. Also, don't miss “The Artist’s Studio,” drop-in activities most weekends from 10:30am–3pm feature crafts based on current museum exhibits.
