Grease Dance

If you like...

Pop
Just Dance 3 (Wii, Xbox 360, PlayStation, $40)
The latest version of the super-popular game lets up to four players dance along (up to eight can play with four remotes on the Wii) to choreographed routines ranging from classic (Bananarama’s “Venus”) to current (LMFAO’s “Party Rock Anthem”). Score enough points to unlock rewards such as new songs and dance mash-ups. The best part: Other players are so busy keeping up with the moves, they have no time to mock you trying to do the same.

Latin
Zumba Fitness Rush (Kinect for Xbox 360, $50)
Mom will enjoy this salsa-infused workout/dance game as much as the kids. Featuring 42 new remote-free routines (in 20-, 45- and 60-minute formats) set to lively Latin music by artists such as Pitbull and Nicole Scherzinger, Zumba Fitness claims to help you tone and lose pounds. It’ll also help you wiggle in ways you never thought possible. Choose your intensity and scenery (rooftop pool, anyone?), and try not to be intimidated by the super-sexy Zumba avatars.

Retro
Grease Dance (Kinect for Xbox 360, PS3, $30)
Your kids may have no idea who Danny Zuko is, but they’ll still get a kick out of trying to out hand-jive Mom and Dad or their friends. Play in individual mode or try to out-dance each other (just like the movie!). The routines are easy to learn and not as high-energy as Just Dance or Zumba Fitness, making Grease Dance a great dance-game entry point for wallflowers.
