SummerDance 2012

Chicago's biggest, longest-running public dance party returns to the season, welcoming Chicagoans of all ages and all neighborhoods to converge in Grant Park for rug-cutting to the tunes of swing, salsa, ballroom and every other genre imaginable. This year, the inaugural session will kick off at the 32nd annual Taste of Chicago, Jul 11–15, with DJs in Grant Park. The event's back in the Spirit of Music Garden after that until the final session, which takes place in front of Cloud Gate in Millennium Park. Arrive at 6pm to get a free one-hour dance lesson from professional instructors; dancing and live music start at 7:30pm.
