To stay "smart," the museum's three-story home of the (near) future undergoes a major revamp every year. This time around, your 30-minute tour of the "Greenest Home in Chicago" will reveal fresh decor, with re-used and refurbished ecofriendly interior pieces from Scout boutique; solar film on the roof; a cutting-edge energy monitoring system; and the latest high-tech home gadgets, courtesy of tech blog Gizmodo. Just outside, the Smart Park features native plants, vertical gardens and a 40-foot wind turbine. The future is wow.
