Ravinia Festival unveils its 2011 season

It always feels a bit more like spring when Ravinia announces its season lineup, which happened today. Coincidence that the sun came out? Probably not entirely.

As usual, while there's always a lot to be excited about for every taste (Guster, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Rufus Wainwright, Doobie Brothers, Carrie Underwood, Hall and Oates, Wynton Marsalis, Chicago, Gipsy Kings, Tony Bennett, Jennifer Hudson, Steely Dan, Yo-Yo Ma). And families can get extra excited about the following just-for-younguns programming:

June 19: Kraft Great Kids Concert: Dirty Sock Funtime Band

July 2: Kraft Great Kids Concert: Tom Chapin & Friends

July 3: Kraft Great Kids Concert: Ralph's World

July 9: Kraft Great Kids Concert: Justin Roberts & the Not Ready for Naptime Players

August 6: Kraft Great Kids Concert: Highland Park Strings

August 18 & 19:  The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra
