The giggly crew of pet enthusiasts here at TOCK HQ love imagining the dialogue between a wire-haired pup and his teeny kitty pal as they cruise through Kate Spade: "Dahhhling, the kelly green pumps. They're fabulous ." Which is why we couldn't resist sending our shutterbug to capture this annual adoption extravaganza.
Since 1997, a host of high-end retailers along Oak Street and Michigan Avenue have opened their storefronts, stoops and sidewalks to cats and dogs from numerous Chicagoland shelters and rescues during PAWS Chicago's Angels with Tails adoption event. This year was no exception, with 38 shops and boutiques such as Barneys New York, Hermes and Jimmy Choo hosting an assortment of four-legged friends from PAWS, the Greater Chicago Cavalier Rescue, Community Cat Inc and more.
