Belmont-Sheffield Music Festival

Chicago Memorial Day Parade
CIA director David H. Petraeus leads this year’s parade, which includes veterans’ groups, high-school marching bands, military members and a horn performance of taps by Bugles Across America. Festivities kick off at 11am with a wreath-laying ceremony in Daley Plaza. State St from Lake St to Van Buren St (312-744-3315). Noon; free.

Gaelic Park Irish Fest
Step dance into Oak Forest for this four-day Irish bonanza featuring live music, dancing, games and theater. Headliners include Ronan Tynan, Leahy and Tartan Terrors. Gaelic Park, 6119 W 147th St (708-687-9323,  chicagogaelicpark.org). 2pm; $15, kids and seniors $12. Through Monday 28.

LEGO Pirates Weekend
Yo-ho-ho your way through Memorial Day weekend when the LEGOLAND Discovery Center turns into buccaneer central, featuring a Pirate's Treasure Hunt (for a chest chock-full of LEGO bricks, natch) and loads of other aarrgghh-ctivities.
