Set an eyebrow-raising world record at an outdoor film screening
As a promotion for next Tuesday's free Grant Park screening of the Marx Brothers' Duck Soup, the Chicago Outdoor Film Festival is inviting viewers to help set a goofy world record. Deets from the fest site:
"...we'll give you a Groucho nose and glasses as we attempt to enter the Guinness Book of World Records for 'the most people wearing Groucho Marx glasses.'
"Be sure to sign in to receive your glasses. We must wear them for a total of 10 minutes and pose for video and photo, at approximately 8:15pm."
Next year, maybe they'll try setting the record for most people honking Harpo horns.
In the meantime, here’s your full drive-in report for this weekend…
Cascade: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince keeps rolling, followed by Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.
McHenry Outdoor Theatre: Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs continues, now followed now by Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.
Route 34 Drive-in: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince debuts way out west, trailed by Terminator Salvation.
