James Hotel hosts free Kidzapalooza event Sunday

The Verve Pipe, among others, performs for free at the James Hotel on Sunday.

Couldn't swing Lolla tickets this year, so your kids have taken to guilt-tripping you on how they're missing all the alt-rock action this weekend? No problem, we'll guarantee you a private concert with Lady Gaga. Not (if there was a private concert with Gaga we'd so not be telling you about it; well, at least not till after).

But, what we can tell you about is an event The James Hotel is hosting, for free, where a lot of Kidzapalooza bands will be jamming out just for little, non-Lolla ticket holder audiences at this VIR (Very Important Rocker) Party. Once again, this is a free event, at a nice hotel, with Lolla artists. Seriously.

Fave kid-rockers hitting the Kids' stage at Lolla this weekend, including The Verve Pipe, The Happiness Club, Dan Zanes, and Recess Monkey, are performing unplugged at The James Chicago starting at 8:30am11am this Sunday 8. Besides the live music, kids will get autographs, pictures, Probugs snacks and a free continental breakfast. To boot, Paul Frank's Julius character will be monkeying around, raffling away Paul Frank gear, car seats, diaper bags and more. Oh, and maybe we'll mention one more time that this entire event is free?
